Restaurant Am Eichenberg in Bad Harzburg

Very nice people work there and an outstanding breakfast. The wellness area must be reserved due to the corona situation. In the case of a short stay, all times are occupied and this is practically unusable. I would have liked to have been informed in advance and to be able to make a reservation in advance. Unfortunately, the price is too high.

During the Corona period, we booked three different rooms (single, double with balcony and junior suite) for 3 nights each. Booking went without any problems, contact / contact person was very nice and tried very hard. Accommodation with a dog was also not a problem. In some places you can tell about the hotel that the building is getting a bit old, but that didn't really bother us. The location is a bit unusual because it is in the middle of a residential area. But only a few minutes walk to the forest (especially with a dog). Restaurant is good too and has an interesting menu. Breakfast was good. We have not tested the wellness area and Ayurveda offers.

You get something for the money! From here you can go hiking! And it's only a 10-minute walk to the city 2 criticism points The mattresses were already worn out (maybe new ones) Parking space per day 3 € whether that has to be? But overall it was very nice here! And I would come back too!

We liked it very much. The applications have also done us good. Nice wellness area. However, we would like more input on the subject from an Ayurveda hotel. We found a newspaper in the display and the dosha provision for departure too little / too late overall. Therefore only 4 stars.

Super nice and friendly

Great weekend from July 31st. until August 2nd, 2020. Many thanks to the hotel team at Am Eichenberg. We can only recommend the hotel. We had booked a short break "togetherness". The service in the dining room / beer garden was great. Kudos to Ms. Kaulfuss and especially to the cook. The food, especially the candle light dinner, was great. The breakfast buffet was also great! Our room was meticulously clean and nothing was missing. As it was very hot at the weekend, we were happy to have booked one of the junior suites with air conditioning. We were thrilled and will definitely be back.

From 07/17/2020 - 07/19/2020 we were guests at the Hotel am Eichenberg. The hotel was chosen because of the Ayurvedic offer. Overall, we were very happy with the entire stay. The breakfast menu was excellent, there was even special Ayurvedic porridge and fruit. The general vegan offer was also sufficient. Due to the chosen half board, we had the choice between three dishes each evening, one of them explicitly as an Ayurvedic dish. All of the dishes chosen were very tasty, even if the quantities were sometimes a little too small. Then there was another "lookup" at the house's expense. The massages were very relaxing, as was the advice from the Ayurvedic doctor. Here you could also go back to your own little zipper. Also positive was the possibility of having our dog in the room and even taking it with us in the dining room. The excursions in the area were accompanied by the best weather. We'll be happy to come back on occasion.

A small nice hotel in Bad Harzburg. Very friendly, helpful staff. The massage very professional, 55 minutes for 90 € is worth it. The rooms practically furnished, WiFi works very well. What we didn't like at all, the sauna is only open from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. We as day guests and with applications would have liked to use the facility in the mornings, since use in the evening was therefore excluded due to late arrival. Great caution with the daily recommendation of the kitchen. We got deer fillet see below. pictured recommended. The price of € 36.20 was steep, especially the sauce boring, but nicely decorated. I would like to positively note the professional, friendly service. Eating a la carte is cheaper then.

The hotel is great. There are great Ayurveda massages and a super nice spa. The food was very tasty. Also the staff is very well trained and friendly. The breakfast was rich and also very delicious. Since our last stay a lot has changed: there is a new outdoor terrace and very nice new hotel rooms.

Very friendly staff, and it was super nice reception right at the beginning. We particularly liked the spa area, which absolutely invites you to relax and unwind. Can anyone recommend only the Ayurveda massages. A pleasure!

Nice ambience and everything else well maintained. You can park in front of the house. The staff are polite and nice. I was there to eat u have to say I did not expect that! Was really great. Everything well prepared on the plates deliciously served, means and also delicious in the taste! I also heard of a very nice sauna, good massage. We'll probably try it again. Recommendation!

Nice hotel. Great sauna area and beautiful renovated rooms. The entrance area, the hallways and the bar in the dining room are showing their age. Our offer included 2 1/2 hours of brine bath (unfortunately excluding the sauna) and "Casino" (who needs something like that ?!). The hotel staff is very friendly ?

Through friends I became aware of the great hotel with a great wellness area. The Ayurveda massage was a nice relaxation and the food was great. Above all, the friendly staff jumped in my eye, since I felt very comfortable. But not only the staff has sweetened my stay, but also the beautiful new hotel rooms. The photos on the website suggest - in my opinion - a wrong picture of the hotel. Either way, the photographer did a good job and highlighted the best. The unadorned truth doesn't quite keep up. Room: Unfortunately this was not modern like on the internet photos, but rather old-fashioned and therefore a big disappointment. It's a shame that not all rooms look like the photos. It feels a bit like window dressing. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The TV reception was quite modest, although there were two TV sets, the picture was not clear but slightly disturbed. Although this is not a broken leg, it literally tarnishes the picture. The view from the window unfortunately only showed an ugly apartment building. Food: The dinner was really tasty. What was really irritating, however, was the fact that the "waitress boss" was constantly criticizing the younger (probably trainee). I don't think you do this in front of the guests. Other than that, the service was good. Breakfast: This is particularly praised in many reviews, I cannot understand this. It was a completely normal hotel breakfast. Wellness area: small but nice. This one can really be seen. If the rest of the hotel were on this level it would be really great. Conclusion: It seems as if the hotel doesn't know what it wants to be. Wellness oasis or rural hotel. Perhaps it is currently changing. There are absolutely beautiful rooms in this property and then areas that radiate exactly the opposite. Too bad. For me it is not a 4 star hotel and is therefore definitely too expensive. The expectations that were conveyed through the website resulted in a disappointment. If it were 3 stars and cheaper the price / performance would be right.

It's not what you expect under a 4 * Ayurveda hotel. The room was very simple and old-fashioned. The breakfast was also only standard. For me, more of a pension than a hotel

The evaluation is a bit difficult for me this time. I am overwhelmed by the nice and attentive staff, the food is fantastic and very well balanced. The room we had was a double room with two bathrooms and very clean. The only drawback is the wellness area, it is very nicely furnished and has its effect, but is much too small to go straight through as a wellness area. Why 5 stars anyway? Very easily! The rest was so coherent and gave my wife and me an absolutely great weekend of relaxation. A big compliment to the boss that he can call his team such a great team and of course special praise to the team that gives their best every day! PS: The cuddle package is highly recommended :)

Nice hotel, good for old couples, who searching for relaxing time. Good Ayurveda massage centre. Good restaurant too!!!!
